Superstar Aamir Khan has delayed the release of his much awaited movie, Dhoom 3. According to reports, it was postponed due to the production and post-production works. It was earlier scheduled to hit the screens during Christmas in 2012. Instead, the film will now hit the theatres in 2013. According to reports, Salman requested Aamir to delay the release so that it does not clash with Salman’s Dabangg 2.
Produced by Aditya Chopra, Dhoom 3 will be written and directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, who has written Dhoom 1 & 2. He has also written and directed Tashan.
Aamir Khan is playing a negative character in the film. Katrina Kaif will star opposite Aamir Khan. Both Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra will continue in their now iconic roles of Jai Dixit and Ali.
The shooting of the film Dhoom 3 will begin from the end of November in 2012. The producers are worried about the 10 to 11 months of intense shooting with concurrent post-production, which may also get extended and which in turn will be cutting it too fine for a Christmas 2013 release.
Director Victor V.K.A Vijay Krishna Acharya has decided to delay the release after consulting with Aamir Khan. Victor said, “Dhoom 3 is very dear to all of us as well as to its audience who expect only the best from the franchise. While the shooting will finish in time, we expect the post-production to take much longer. We are trying our best to give one of the finest cinematic experiences to our discerning audience and therefore did not want to compromise the quality of the film just to meet the release date.”
The Dhoom series centres around bike chases, handsome thieves and daring theft plans. After the success of Dhoom (2004) and Dhoom 2 (2006), there is much buzz in B-town about the next sequel.
